Golf Tips
We now feature ongoing tips from our Director of the Glens Golf Academy Mike Passmore. Mike has been ranked as a 2006 Top 6 PGA Teacher in the US by the PGA of America, and he is a 3-time PGA Section Teacher of the Year (06 Indiana/98 PA,WV, MD/92 Iowa). We will also have pointers from our club pros on how to save strokes on their courses, and from our course superintendants who will explain various procedures in the world of course maintenance.
Swing Exercise #2
(Practice this exercise as a continuous motion back and forth four times to count as a single exercise).
Address/Setup- Set your grip on a mid-length iron club with the proper tension level and position your club head a few inches across and away from a golf ball, taking your stance and posture.
Backswing- Use the same swing keys as Exercise #1, while feeling the club head's weight momentum gradually hinge or cock your wrists.

Down And Through Swing- Swing your arms and club down and through to the other side simultaneously rotating your body. Feel the club head's weight downward momentum begin to uncock your wrists as your hands reach hip level, and feel the rotation of the arms-hands-club through the bottom of your swing arc, and the hinging or recocking of the wrists as the hands near their chest-level finish position.

Note- Don't forget to let your head rotate toward the target at imaginary impact position. Also, concentrate on making the complete swing with a medium tempo.
