Glen Dornoch Named One Of The Top 30 Golf Courses In South Carolina By State's Golf Course Ratings Panel

May 1, 2009, Little River, S.C. – Glen Dornoch Waterway Golf Links, located in Little River, S.C. has been named one of the 30 best courses in South Carolina according to the prestigious South Carolina Golf Course Ratings Panel. The list of the best public and private courses within the state can be found in the just released spring 2009 issue of Palmetto Golfer.
“To be listed as one of South Carolina's top 30 golf courses is quite an honor,” said Jason Himmelsbach, director of marketing for the Glens Golf Group. “There are more than 300 golf courses in South Carolina, so it's very rewarding to be ranked among the 30 best and to be listed alongside nationally renowned courses like Kiawah's Ocean Course and Harbour Town.”
The South Carolina Golf Course Ratings Panel consists of 125 members who are all golf enthusiasts, dedicated to promoting excellence in South Carolina golf courses, design and operations. All panel members are required to play every course they cast votes on. Based on predetermined criteria, members play and judge first hand the quality of each course in areas such as routing, conditioning, memorability, aesthetics, and difficulty.
